Pengurus harus menanggalkan
atribut organisasi kalau terlibat dalam tim sukses.
JAKARTA — Pengurus Besar
Nandlatul Ulama (PBNU) mengeluarkan Surat Edaran (SE) untuk menegaskan
netralitasnya dalam pemilihan presiden dan wakil presiden 2014. Setiap
sukses diwajibkan menanggalkan atribut organisasi.
Sekretaris Jenderal PBNU H
Marsudi Syuhud mengatakan, SE ini diterbitkan setelah mempertimbangkan
perkembangan situasi politik menjelang Pilpres 2014. "Dukung mendukung
silakan, tapi bersifat pribadi," kata dia, Kamis (12/6).
SE bernomor 3208/C.I.33/06/2014
Surat ditandatangani empat pimpinan PBNU, yaitu Pj Rais 'Aam
PBNU Dr KH A Mustofa Bisri, Katib `Aam PBNU Dr KH A Malik Madaniy MA, Ketua
Umum PBNU Dr KH Said Aqil Siroj MA, dan Sekretaris Jenderal PBNU Dr H Marsudi
Syuhud.
Ada tiga poin utama dalam surat
edaran tersebut. Poin pertama, Marsudi meyatakan, siapa saja pengurus NU, baik
Poin kedua, Marsudi menjelaskan,
(ukhuwwah nandliyyah) demi kelangsungan Negara Kesatuan Republik Indonesia.
"PBNU juga mengimbau kepada Nandliyin untuk memperbayak istighatsah dan
mujahadah, memohon ke hadirat Allah SWT agar bangsa dan negara terhindar dari
berbagai gangguan dan ancaman," ujar dia.
Poin ketiga, PBNU mengimbau
Ketua Umum Pengurus Besar
Nandlatul Ulama (PBNU) Said Aqil Siradj menyatakan, capres tidak boleh memecah
belah umat Islam, khususnya warga NU. Sebab, tujuan pilpres bersatu dalam
pembangunan dan kesejahteraan.
Said Aqil menyatakan, sikap
politiknya mendukung pasangan nomor urut satu, Prabowo Subianto-Hatta Rajasa
merupakan keputusan pribadi. Sebab, setiap orang Islam berhak menentukan
Tim
sukses kedua pasangan pun mengajak tokoh NI bergabung. Kemarin, Jokowi
berkunjung ke Pondok Pesantren Cipasung Tasikmalaya, Jawa Barat.
Ketua DPP PKB, Marwan Ja'far,
meminta dukungan petinggi pesantren tersebut, KH Abun Bunyamin Ruchiyat. Marwan
Ja'far menuturkan, KH AbunBunyamin Ruchiyat merupakan adik kandung mantan Rais
'Am PBNU dan deklarator PKB, (alm) KH Ilyas Ruchiyat. Kata dia, Jokowi mau
mendengar, memperjuangkan aspirak, dan menjaga tradisi Nandliyin.
Ketua DPP Gerindra,
Habiburrokhman, menyatakan PrabowoHatta sudah sejak lama meminta dukungan
ulama. Ulama mendukung Prabowo-Hatta karena Indonesia membutuhkan pemimpin
tegas. ■ c78 ed: ratna

PBNU Claims Neutral In Presidential Election

NU members should strip off their
NU attributes if engaged in campaign teams
JAKARTA – The Nahdlatul Ulama
Executive Board (PBNU) issued a Circular Letter (SE) to confirm the Nahdlatul
Ulama’s (NU) neutrality in the 2014 Presidential/Vice Presidential Election.
Every NU organizer at the central and regional level should strip off the NU
attribute if involved in campaign teams.
According to the PBNU General
Secretary H Marsudi Syuhud, the SE was issued after taking the political
situation ahead of the 2014 Presidential Election into consideration. “Go
ahead, give support but it should be done in personal, “he said, Thursday
(12/6).
SE Number 3208/C.I.33/06/2014
entitled Advice and Knowledge (Taushiyah Khashshah) for the NU members
(Nandliyin) was issued on 2 June 2014. The letter was signed by four PBNU
leaders: The PBNU Supreme Leader (Rais 'Aam) Dr KH A Mustofa Bisri, the PBNU
Katib `Aam [definition couldn’t be found]
Dr KH A Malik Madaniy MA, the PBNU General Chairman Dr KH Said Aqil
Siroj MA, dan the PBNU General Secretary Dr H Marsudi Syuhud.
There are three main points in
the SE. First point, Marsudi said, any NU organizers both in central and
regional boards were prohibited to represent the organization if they joined
the campaign teams of the presidential/vice presidential candidates.
Second point, Marsudi explained,
contained an appeal to the NU members to maintain and strengthen the
brotherhood (ukhuwah nandliyah) for the sake of the Unitary State of the
Republic of Indonesia (NKRI). “PBNU also calls on the Nandliyin to perform mass
prayers (istighatsah/mujahadah) more often, plead to God so that the nation and
state will be safe from disturbances and threats, “he said.
Third point, the PBNU called on
all Nandliyin to vote in the 9 July 2014 Presidential Election smartly and
responsibly in accordance with the faith of the followers of the Prophet
Muhammad’s teachings and practices (Ahlu
Sunnah wal Jama’ah). The PBNU also called on people to be not influenced by any
black campaigns because such campaign directed to both presidential/vice
presidential candidate pairs were carried out by irresponsible parties.
“The PBNU also called on the
obligation to reject money politics (risywah siyasiyyah) in choosing a leader,
“he said.
Marsudi hoped the 2014 Presidential
Election which is coincided with the Muslim fasting month (Ramadhan 1435
Hijriyah), would take place in a cool, safe and peaceful atmosphere so the
people’s participation in the election could be considered part of religious
activities (ibadah).
According to the PBNU General
Chairman Said Aqil Siradj, presidential candidates should not divide Muslims,
especially the NU members because the purpose of the presidential election was
the unity in the development and welfare.
Said Aqil said, his political choice
of supporting Prabowo Subianto and Hatta Rajasa was a personal decision because
every Muslim had the right to make his/her own choice without pressure or
direction from anyone.
Prabowo-Hatta dan Joko
Widodo-Jusuf Kalla, the two presidential/vice presidential candidate pairs,
have been competing for the Nandliyin’s votes. Both campaign teams have been
trying to persuade the NU leaders to join. Yesterday, Jokowi paid a visit to
Cipasung Islamic Boarding School (Pesantren) in Tasikmalaya, West Java.
Marwan Ja’far, the chairman of
the National Awakening Party (PKB) Central Executive Board (DPP), asked for the
support of the pesantren leader KH Abun Bunyamin Ruchiyat. Marwan Ja’far
explained KH Abun Bunyamin Ruchiyat was the younger brother of (late) KH Ilyas
Ruchiyat, the PBNU Rais ‘Am and the PKB initiator. He said Jokowi always
listened, fought for [the people’s] aspirations and kept the tradition of the
Nadliyin.
